The Broadman Bible Commentary series has as its mission "to help men know the truth of God as it is revealed in His Word, that they may feel the heartbeat of his message in their lives in the modern-day world." The text is in the Revised Standard Version (RSV), and outlines each chapter in a paragraph-by-paragraph interpretation. Exposition of the text is developed within this framework. Intentionally avoiding theological extremes, the commentary keeps Christ-centered faith and the reality of personal redemption as well as the demand for an authentic expression of faith in terms of a Christ-controlled life.

Full of information

This series of books, to me, is still the 'gold standard" for Bible commentaries. One can skim or go as deeply into facts and theories about the Scriptures as one chooses. The only thing that could be better is to have the series as originally written rather than the edited and re-written one such as this.

The Broadman Bible Commentary Volume 1

Was so happy to receive The Broadman Bible Commenentary, Volume 1. Been looking for it a long time and I finally found it. I knew there were two different types of book listed of Volume 1 and Volume 1-Revised. I had several questions about it and he took the time to answer all my questions. Thank you so much.
Also, the mailing of the book came very quickly and the package that it came in was excellent!!

Missing volume
