Nice Story. No Cliffhanger

I loved the chemistry between Mirabelle and Preston. In a way they are always trying to please each other but their insecurities or secrets come in the way. The truth is you should be honest no matter what. I wish there was a longer ending or an epilogue. But you do get a jest of a HEA. I do wish that Carter and Sapphire got more punishment than what they got. I never understood Sapphire's character. Sorry but she jumps from guy to guy. Just to get her way to the top. She's a mom for god's sake. The way she uses people. Disgusting!!! But overall this is a great first book. I'd like to read a follow up and liked the taboo relationship too.

This is a debut book for a new author and I got it because it was a Kindle Unlimted book. I really loved it. As a debut book for a first time author I am very impressed. I LOVED Preston he was terrific and Mirabell I loved her confidence and how natural she was at her job. The story was full of fun, some breakups and heavy on the romance.
Mira gets a job as an intern at a Manhatten ad agency. On her first day she gets dragged to a staff meeting by her advisor. Big mistake but she speaks at the meeting and gets the attention of the owner, Preston, who coincidentally was her step brother many years ago for a very small time. He loves her ideas and decides to be her advisor/mentor instead. He is big on control an builds her up and pulls her down many times hoping to make her do even greater things. But instead this makes her feel defeated. Meanwhile he is super attracted to her and they do it once in her office.
After she meets the ex and realises the ex looks just like her she quits but Preston tells her how great she is, they agree to just work together while she finishes her internship. This was my favorte part. They really fall for each other HARD and when she graduates they commit to each other.
However this is where I would have really liked to have seen the book expand. A lot happens, they are together but she goes to work for Preston's rival and a lot happens but it was just very jammed packed, enjoyable but jammed packed.
I really loved the book and the two characters, I would just have liked to seen more. Also Mira, has a BIG secret and I would have liked to have seen more clues to that throughout the book rather than where she gets revenged upon with it.
As another reader says, there were some typos like "american thighs". I think a good editor would have fixed that and gotten the book to expand and this would have been even better than it was. Its very well done, the writing is great and I loved the characters, I even enjoyed the evil characters.
I would love to read more books from this author. This book ended with a great ending and a HEA but I would still love to read more about them.

I'm usually pretty impartial to new authors but I gave this one a chance and I'm glad I did. The story was hot and I loved the dynamic between Preston and Mirabelle. It was steamy in an off limits sort of way and I couldn't stop reading once I got into it. Well done!!
